Perhaps the experience of being in a trial is too mechanical and forced for these users. If the psychedelic experience is instead viewed as the last stage of a long spiritual journey, perhaps they will have a greater impact. So, yes, I agree, it is doubtful that psychedelic drugs will be a magical cure all for depression. However, I believe they are in fact a powerful tool in accessing repressed portions of our mind and healing these parts.
